A confrontation between a man and a QuikTrip security guard is caught on tape.

Tulsa police say they work more than 100 cases each week that involve stolen credit cards, and they’re expecting that number to go up around the holidays.  Businesses say stolen cards would be used less if credit card companies would make a small change to their policies.

There are just three months left and liquor stores and convenience stores are working hard to get prepared for changes in state liquor laws.

The first day of July marked the beginning of a tax increase on gas and cigarettes. In March, Governor Mary Fallin signed the $424 million tax plan just ahead of the teacher walkout. 

The City of Tulsa is in talks to land an Amazon distribution center. The sources who confirmed the talks wouldn't provide many details, other than to say it could be built near 46th Street North and Highway 169.  More than 82 acres of empty land sits along Highway 169 in East Tulsa and right next door Quiktrip is building its brand new 275 thousand square foot center. A key part of the new money for education is increasing the tax on cigarettes. The extra cigarette tax could bring in an estimated $153 million, but it can also impact where cigarettes are sold and, ultimately, who gets the tax money.

QuikTrip is building a store at at Pine and Peoria. The structure currently at the site will be demolished soon.

QuikTrip Corporation has purchased land to build a store near at 15th and Lewis, a QT spokesman tells News On 6.
